2008 Arthritis Walk

The Arthritis Foundation seeks participants in the Dubuque Arthritis Walk on Saturday, May 17.

The Arthritis Walk is the Arthritis Foundation’s signature event that takes place in communities across the nation to raise funds and awareness to fight arthritis. The Arthritis Walk features both a three-mile and one-mile course, with activities for the entire family. Participants walk in honor of a friend or family member with arthritis, while those with arthritis wear blue hats to signify their action in taking control of their condition.

The Arthritis Walk will take place in Murphy Park, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and the walk at 10 a.m. To participate in the 2008 Dubuque Arthritis Walk, volunteer or to form a team (it's free!), visit the Web site iowa.arthritis.org, or call the Arthritis Foundation toll-free at 866-378-0636. The Dubuque Jaycees and the stations of Radio Dubuque (KAT-FM, KGRR, KDTH, and The River) welcome you to the Fireworks on the Mississippi! Dubuque biggest fireworks show ever is to begin at 9:46p.m. set to simulcast music from KAT-FM, KDTH, KGRR & THE RIVER. But first, come down early for what is always an AMAZING air show from 6:45 - 8:15 p.m. Parking available from the Dubuque Jaycees. $10 fireworks donation. Food and beverages available from a variety of vendors. Carry-in's also welcome.
